In the end, the box containing the nail clippers, hair pins, and safety pins sold for $960, far exceeding expectations. Egusquiza hasn't had the chance to hold or examine the clippers yet, as they are still being shipped from New York to Bilbao. He views this purchase as a long-term investment, driven by his admiration for Keaton's craft and likability.
His favorite Keaton films are 'The Godfather' and 'Annie Hall'. Egusquiza plans to display the box in his office, joining his growing collection of memorabilia. He's received support from his friends and family, who understand his passion for collecting. "They like it," he says. "I have been collecting since I was a teenager, I don’t think they think I’m crazy. If they consider me eccentric, I remain entirely unbothered."
